The FRANK Team has worked closely with many State and Government Departments around Australia to deliver customised programs and training. We have run large-scale national training programs as well as one-off training presentations with various Government agencies.

CASE STUDY #1; DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND TRAINING (DEST)

The FRANK Team facilitated the inaugural Apprenticeship Roundtable, working with the Department of Education, Science & Training (DEST) to facilitate two meetings with the youth delegates. There were 14 delegates as part of the Roundtable who ranged in age from 15 to over 60 years old with diverse abilities and backgrounds.

The FRANK Team created action research templates for the teams which helped them implement their research plans and prepare their presentations to the Minister about their findings. This was done through online conferences, email, phone contact and tele-conferences.

The FRANK Team also delivered professional development training in the areas of project management, public speaking, networking and media skills to assist the delegates in their Roundtable experiences.The FRANK Team developed all entire program structure and material for the delegates and submitted the final report to DEST.

Outcomes

This was a highly successful project with feedback from DEST staff and delegates highly complementary of The FRANK Team’s style, professionalism and support through the whole process. As part of the evaluation of the Roundtable the following results and responses were garnered:

  1. 90% of new apprentices felt empowered and well skilled to fulfil their role on their team project after attending the 1st Residential Program of the Roundtable
  2. Over 80% of the new apprentices found the content of the Roundtable to be practical and interesting
  3. Over 80% of the new apprentices believed the facilitator was both well prepared and knowledgeable for both the 1st & 2nd Residential Programs of the Roundtable
  4. 100% of the new apprentices believed the facilitator effectively assisted them and their team to fulfil their responsibilities at the Roundtable

 

 

CASE STUDY #2: Cyber Safety Forum for the Department of Broadband, Communication & Digital Economy. (DBCDE)

The FRANK Team worked with DBCDE to design, develop and deliver DBCDE’S strategic plan regarding cyber safety in Australia.

Our tasks included;

  1. Designing training and community feedback programs to implement in over 100 schools around Australia. DBCDE was seeking feedback on key issues like cyberbullying, cybersafety, technology use and other technology related issue
  2. Liaising with and training DBCDE’s Youth Advisory Group for Cybersafety
  3. Monitoring and collating feedback from DBCDE’s online discussion portal – YAG Online (See https://yag.gov.au/)
  4. Facilitating discussions with industry stakeholders including Telstra, Facebook, ACMA and many other business and community organisations
  5. Reporting, evaluating and collating feedback from all stakeholders and compiling reports to be submitted to DBCDE and the Minister’s Office
  6. Facilitating DBCDE’s National Cybersafety Summit which included delivering workshops, acting as Master of Ceremonies, hosting panel discussions as well as introducing the Minister

As a result of this large scale national initiative, the following outcomes were achieved;
